Lancaster Event Center Camping - Part of what we are planning is how to survive the 3.5 month mandatory closure that happened in the spring of 2020. We were fortunate to have $550,000 in federal COVID support funds (PPP, EIDL) to handle the initial closure with our small core team of experts. We want to bring back the remaining 90% of our part-time employees because we can bring back more activity. At the same time, we are operating with minimal staff, reducing all costs, and requiring our shows to share increased COVID operating costs.
Since we are not subsidized to stay open after hours, we are working on building a contingency fund to keep our small core staff of professionals at work during another zero income period so we can contribute to our community to open and come back Get ready recognize our 20 year impact as soon as possible, including two new international contract signing events in our new enhancements: NHSFR in July 2021 and FMCA International Caravan Convention in August 2022. Curious about how this will affect your LEC playground if it runs at full speed prior to COVID? The LEC was on track for the biggest year in its 20-year history in 2020 with 40% growth - until COVID hit. This increase is due to improved conditions for two international events that are planned to be used at our new location during the first 45 days after they open in July and August. We are excited for our community as these events were scheduled for July 2021 (NHSFR Lincoln) and August 2022 (FMCA International Convention and Touring Car Rally).
